HAPPY
HOLIDAYS
retrochick, I made a quick list for you below on where/what area you would like... (from one fashionista to another!)
SHOPPING
Meat packing district/Chelsea. They have fabulous stores like Stella McCartney, Barney's Coop on 18th street, Christian Louboutin, Scoop they're on 14th Street. Cute little stores too if you keep walking past Little West 12th. Nolita is also a great area to go shopping in. You'll love all of the little cool shops and vintage clothing stores. Mayle is right there and Sigerson Morrison. You could also eat at
Cafe Gitane (Maggie Gyllenhall loves it there, my husband and I have seen her there a few times..) also, Tory Burch store is there too
EATS
That area, Chelsea and Meatpcking also have good restaurants and cafess. Pastis is there so is Spice market, Cafeteria on 7th and 17th street, there's also, there's a cool club called APT which is supposed to be modeled after an apartment (really cool!) there's also that famous bar/dive called Hogs and Heffers (famous for the movie Coyote Ugly) there's also a cool new restaurant that I've seen Cameron Diaz eat at, it's right across the street from Pastis.. they serve great english pub food.
If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to PM me...
I agree...check out Little Italy..Chinatown is near by..You can check out the imitation designer bags, watches etc...You'll also be around SoHo area..and that's always fun & hip since it's near NYU
You could also do window shopping near Bloomies on 59th and Lex..
There is a pastry place on the Upper East Side called Payard which has great little pastries and coffee or hot chocolate .... It is a little pricey but I really enjoy it.
I can't think of anything else right now...
Enjoy your trip to NY
