Bitten with SJP at Steve and Barry's
My first celebrity sighting! Afeter two and a half years of living in New York, I finally saw a celebrity (I don't get out that much).
I went to Steve and Barry's this morning to check out the Bitten collection that came out and decided to stay for the autograph signing with Sarah Jessica Parker. It was a long wait, this was only one fourth of the line:
In the end though, it was worth it, I made a friend, I shook SJP's hand, told her how awesome she is. She was very sweet, told me I looked very pretty and thank you so much for coming, then she signed the picture and I was off:
Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures, but I had to sneak one...

However I did manage to have Suesan, the girl I met there, take my picture next to the poster:
I suppose it's better than nothing

The pictures aren't great though, it was just my camera phone...
Did you buy any clothes? I plan on going to get some this weekend.
That is so cool! The closest Steve & Barry's (I've never heard of that store before Bitten) is 2 hours away

Yes, I did buy myself a little outfit, just a skirt, a blue top and flip flops!! I forgot to mention that in the excitement
I was somewhat disapointed not to see more dresses, especially simple summer dresses. The
collection has several different little black dresses and a couple of jersey dresses in different colors, but that's about it. There are several skirts, and some cute linen pants and jackets.
It's a very good place for basics. I couldn't believe my eyes at the price of jeans, especially in New York, it's absolutely unheard of!
That's so cool you got to meet SJP! I'd never heard of Steve and Barry's before Bitten, either. The nearest one is 30 minutes away, so I went to check it out. The line is perfect for basics...but yeah, there was a serious lack of summer dresses.
Your experience was almost like a "Carrie booksigning." I think it's really cool and the picture of you standing next to the SJP / Bitten poster is adorable.
